Mentoring and Networking with the Girls Group
During this season of thanks, WXW will partner with the non-profit organization Girls Group to provide an afternoon of networking and mentoring on November 19.
Girls Group is a non-profit organization that empowers middle and high school girls to achieve emotional and economic security by graduating from high school and becoming first-generation college graduates. Girls Group provides year round programming and mentoring to develop character, leadership, self-confidence, and social consciousness, including the desire and ability to mentor others.
You’ll get the chance to join these girls, along with your fellow WXW’ers, to partner up on fun team building games, networking, and mentoring exercises.
Admission to this event is free, however we invite you to bring an optional gift card in any amount to help these girls, many of whom come from families with limited resources. Gift cards from Target, Amazon, grocery stores, local retailers and eateries – any of these will be very helpful! If you want to give a gift, the girls love nice-smelling goods, lotions, journals, lip balms, or other things a teenage girl might want!
