Thursday, May 20th, 2021, 11:45 am to 1:30 pm

Who hasn’t been in a meeting and felt stunned into silence by the words or actions of someone else, only to come up with a response 20 minutes too late?

Verbal Self-Defense is the art of learning what to say, in the moment, to regain your composure, de-escalate a tense situation, effectively respond and work towards a mutually beneficial outcome.

Workshop Participants will learn how to:

  • How to cultivate courage as a habit in your day to day life
  • Why it’s so hard for us to respond to surprising statements or questions
  • Exactly what to do when we are told something that challenges us
  • How Verbal Self-Defense can improve your office culture, productivity, and inclusivity
