Workshop Facilitators:
Eleni Kelakos (Eleni Kelakos Enterprises) & Carrie Hensel (Inner Circle Media)

On January 24th, WXW offers an intensive, inspiring visioning and goal-setting workshop.

WXW offered this workshop three years ago and received such great feedback from participants that facilitators, Eleni Kelakos and Carrie Hensel, have agreed to do it again! Get ready to connect with your true potential and accomplish marvelous things in 2013.

During this 2 hour workshop, participants will assess the vision and goals for their company, team, or career. They will learn how to articulate the vision in inspiring ways, set strategies and goals, and measure progress toward those goals. Participants will complete a visioning and goal-setting workbook and leave the session with plan to accomplish their goals for the coming year.

Here are a few testimonials from previous workshop participants:

  • “One of the best events/presentations I have ever attended! Carrie & Eleni were superb!”
  • “Visioning was great! Practical and inspiring at the same time.”
  • “Interactive, fun, informative.”
  • “Amazing & so inspiring.”
  • “I am not sure what compelled me to participate in the workshop but I could not have made a better choice. Meeting both of you (workshop facilitators Eleni Kelakos and Carrie Hensel) had a profound impact on me and made me realize what I need to do in order to succeed personally.”

Walk Out a Winner – How to Overcome Challenges & Succeed at Negotiations

Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM

As a professional business woman, you have to negotiate every day – to win business deals, earn a higher salary, and get agreements to work out in your favor. During those times, do you worry that you’re not very adept or savvy at the ins and outs of negotiation? Do you wonder if you’re making unnecessary concessions or maybe even sabotaging your own success?

The ability to negotiate is critical to your success as a leader. Attend WXW’s March 14th event to hear from a panel of business women who have become experts in the art of negotiating! They have learned to negotiate by understanding that the bargaining process, setting goals for negotiating sessions, and managing relationships with both opponents and allies are all important factors to a successful outcome.

Then join us for our patented Exchange Sessions where we will have breakout conversations to talk about the artful skill of negotiation and share our own stories of office politics, disagreements, compromise, and resolution.

What’s A “Personal Board of Directors” and Why Don’t You Have One Yet?

Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM

How to empower yourself and those around you through a strong support network

As a business professional, do you sometimes feel like life’s challenges are a never-ending battle? It’s no secret that because of our gender, career women and female business owners often face more obstacles and complexities than our male peers; but this does not mean we are less successful than men. To the contrary, statistics show that we are starting businesses at more than twice the rate of male counterparts.

How are we using our resources and succeeding despite the difficulties? Many successful women, be they CEO’s or mid-level professionals, have built what is called a “personal board of directors” or a “circle of influence.” These are a trusted group of advisors and friends who ask tough questions, challenge us, help us clarify our intentions, support us through the hardships, energize us, and push us to achieve our goals. And these close confidants expect that we will do the same to help them in business and in life.

World CafeAt WXW’s April event, Sonya Jacobs, Director of Faculty Development for the University of Michigan Medical School and Margaret (Mim) Munzel, a senior consultant with The Arbor Consulting Group, Inc., will facilitate a “World Café” conversation where we will explore how to build and nurture a professional network.
